The pedagogy division houses the projects in pedagogy within AEMS initiative. The emphasis is on the applications of research to improve learning including preparing educators to respond to the academic needs of learners (in K-12 and higher education) through empirically grounded knowledge such as Teacher Training Enrichment Program (TTEP) held in 2018 to provide K-12 teachers in Islamic schools with tools, guidance, and recommendations on policy changes, impactful interventions in teaching and value based practices and curricula that enhance learners’ well-being.

In addition to developing strategies to teaching and learning in Muslim societies, the division also houses the Fairfax Institute, the main avenue to discuss and expose university level students to topics in Islamic studies and knowledge generated from Islamic scholarship.
