The International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) launched its first wave of Mapping the Terrain in July, 2018, as part of its initiative on Advancing Education in Muslim Societies (AEMS), with theoretical as well as empirical research goals to promote value-based education and socio-emotional learning in Muslim communities in North America and around the globe. In order to share the knowledge gained from the study, IIIT will be hosting a conference on April 26-27, 2019, in Istanbul, in partnership with Şehir University. The conference will feature Country Reports as well as presentations by regional experts in the fields of socio-emotional learning, values, and research methods.
