    Peace Education at the AERA 2019 Conference

    On April 7-9, 2019, Dr. Ilham Nasser, Director of Pedagogy, IIIT, chaired the Peace Education Special Interest Group (SIG) and organized the program in Peace Education at the American Education Research Association (AERA) 2019 Conference held in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada. The presentations, planned along with the program Chair, included research on kindness, vulnerable pedagogy, anti-bullying curriculum, and many others to promote a peace education research agenda.

    Dr. Nasser also organized and led the Business meeting of the SIG which highlighted the research on “Disrupting the Status Quo of Education to Teach Peace”. The education work done at IIIT was highlighted in each of the above events.
