Learning to Live Together
Dr. Ilham Nasser, IIIT Senior Researcher, is part of an international team looking at modifying a curriculum on Learning to Live Together to children ages 7-12 in various cultural and religious contexts. This curriculum was prepared and utilized for 10 years by Arigatou International in collaboration with UNESCO and used in many countries such as in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. People on the team represented 11 countries bringing expertise in education, interfaith, and intercultural learning.
Dr. Nasser, will provide advice on child development, pedagogy, and the adaptation of the curriculum to middle childhood. Her presentation at the Geneva forum, which took place from October 20-21, 2018, focused on the needs and challenges facing children and teachers in the Middle East.
