    IIIT-MAHYA Summer School: First Online Lecture Launched Today

    IIIT-MAHYA Summer School began its first online lecture today, June 19th. Dr. Hisham Altalib, IIIT President, provided the welcoming remarks and gave an overview of IIIT’s history. Dr. Ahmed Alwani, Vice President IIIT and Dr. Ilham Nasser, IIIT Director of Mapping the Terrain research, presented to students as part of the opening of school’s program.

    The presentation via Zoom focused on the Advancing Education in Muslim Societies initiative and IIIT’s commitment to education in its broadest sense. Dr. Alwani stressed the continuity in the work of IIIT through its newest reiteration of AEMS that came to provide additional entry points to the intellectual discourse of the Integration of Knowledge (IoK) world view. Dr. Nasser described the research methods’ considerations used in conducting the Mapping the Terrain annual study.
