Education and Community Developement
The Third Futures Workshop in London focused on Education and Community Development. Held at the offices of the Aziz Foundation in central London, the workshop was structured around the Three Tomorrows framework of the postnormal times theory.
Participants, who were students, educators, and community leaders from the British Muslim community, examined trends and emerging issues in education and within Muslim community and developed scenarios for three different time horizons. They were challenged to expand their planning, strategy, and thinking beyond the extended present
to explore familiar and unthought futures. Through the forward thinking exercise, the participants established a variety of options for agency and creating preferred futures in their community. The outcome of the workshop will be written up as a report.
