Albanian: Texhdidi dhe Islahu: Ripërtëritja Qytetëruese në Islam (Botimet “Studimet e rastit”- seria 27)(Tajdīd, Iṣlāḥ and Civilisational Renewal in Islam (Occasional Paper 27)) Historia e mendimit islam është karakterizuar nga një traditë e vazhdueshme rigjallërimi dhe reformimi të brendshëm, e ngulitur në parimet e iṣlāḥ-ut dhe texhdīd-it. Qëllimi përfundimtar ka qenë që të sillen realitetet ekzistuese dhe ndryshimi shoqëror në një linjë me standardin e mrekullueshëm dhe të gjithësishëm të Kuranit dhe të Sunnetit nëpërmjet një procesi përtëritje dhe reformimi. Në këtë mënyrë, tradita e iṣlāḥ-texhdīd-it ka sfiduar në mënyrë të vazhdueshme stautus qou-në (gjendjen ekzistuese) myslimane dhe ka nxitur interpretime të reja të Kuranit dhe të Sunnetit, të kuptuara dhe të vëna në zbatim nëpërmjet metodologjisë së interpretimit dhe të ixhtihadit, si dhe të hedhjes poshtë të shtesave të pajustifikuara në mesazhet zanafillore të Islamit. Tema qëndrore e punimit është se rinovimi qytetërues është pjesë tërësore e mendimit islam. Punimi shqyrton kuptimin, përkufizimin dhe prejardhjen e texhdīd-it dhe të iṣlāḥ-ut dhe lidhjen e tyre me ixhtihadin dhe se si janë manifestuar këto në shkrimet dhe në kontributet e udhëheqësve të mendimit islam gjatë gjithë historisë së tij. Ai, gjithashtu, zhvillon formulat dhe udhëzimet e lidhura me texhdīd-in, të cilat duhet të udhëheqin përpjekjet e myslimanëve bashkëkohorë për të farkëtuar objektivat e harmonisë ndërqytetëruese dhe bashkëpunimin e tyre për të mirën e përbashkët. The history of Islamic thought is marked by a continuous tradition of internal revitalisation and reform embedded in the principles of islah, and tajdid. The ultimate purpose has been to bring existing realities and social change in line with the transcendant and universal standard of the Qur’an and Sunnah through a process of restoration and reform. The tradition of islah-tajdid has thus consistently challenged the Muslim status quo and prompted fresh interpretation of the Qur’an and Sunnah, understood and implemented through the methodologies of interpretation and ijtihad, as well as the rejection of unwarranted accretions to the original messages of Islam. The basic theme of the paper is that civilisational renewal is an integral part of Islamic thought. The paper looks into the meaning, definition and origins of tajdid and islah and their relationship with ijtihad, and how these have been manifested in the writings and contributions of the thought leaders of Islam throughout its history. It also develops tajdid-related formulas and guidelines that should lead the efforts of contemporary Muslims in forging the objectives of inter-civilisational harmony and their cooperation for the common good. Muhamed Hashim Kemali është Drejtor i Përgjithshëm i Institutit Ndërkombëtar për Studime të Avancuara Islame (IAIS) në Kuala Lumpur dhe është anëtar i Institutit për Studime të Avancuara në Berlin. Ai është anëtar i Akademisë Mbretërore Jordaneze të Shkencave. Ai dha mësim ligjin islam në Universitetin Islamik Ndërkombëtar në Kuala Lumpur dhe ishte Dekan i Institutit Ndërkombëtar për Mendimin dhe Qytetërimin Islam (ISTAC) në Kuala Lumpur. Ai ishte gjithashtu një konsulent i OKB-së për reformat kushtetuese në Maldive dhe Irak. Është anëtar i organeve dhe komiteteve të ndryshme shkencore dhe profesionale. Ai botoi disa punime shkencore në fushën e ligjit islam. Mohammad Hashim Kamali is the Director of the International Institute for Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) in Kuala Lumpur and is a Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Berlin. He is a member of the Royal Jordanian Academy of Sciences. He taught Islamic law at the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur and was Dean of the International Institute for Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) in Kuala Lumpur. He was also a UN consultant on constitutional reforms in the Maldives and Iraq. He is a member of various scientific and professional bodies and committees. He published several scientific works in the field of Islamic law.
