Mr. Joshua Brockwell

Joshua Brockwell is the Director of Investment Communications at Azzad Asset Management, where he manages client-facing communications for the Azzad Funds. He is responsible for strategic marketing campaigns to high net worth clients, registered investment advisers, third-party professionals, institutions, and individual retail clients.

He has more than a decade of experience in the financial services field, including positions with T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. and the boutique cooperative mutual fund company, Homestead Funds.

Mr. Brockwell holds undergraduate degrees in French and International Relations (Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude) from Centre College, a private liberal arts college located in Danville, Kentucky. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland (UMUC). Mr. Brockwell received a Fulbright Fellowship for Dijon, France in 2002, where he taught in the fields of marketing and business.

Mr. Brockwell’s current firm, Azzad Asset Management (est. 1997), is investment advisor to the Azzad Funds, halal mutual funds that follow investing criteria outlined by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). Azzad is renowned both for its advocacy of the Seven Tenets of Halal Investing and as sponsor of the first Shariah-compliant, socially responsible fixed-income mutual fund in the United States.
