Resilience in the World of Competitive, Islamic Perspective
On October 6, 2018 the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), Indonesia, and the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) organized a national conference on “Resilience in the World of Competitive, Islamic Perspective.” The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG), near Surabaya, Indonesia. Two years ago, the institutions had signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The conference has been officiated by the Rector of UMG, Prof. Dr. Ir. Setio Budi. The event was attended by researchers, practitioners, and students of psychology from various universities. Dr. Habib Chirzin, IIIT Indonesia representative delivered the opening remark. He also shared the new IIIT programs and presented some IIIT publications to Prof. Dr. Ir. Setio Budi, Rector, UMG; Dr. Idha Rahayuningsih, Dean of Faculty of Psychology, UMG; and Dr. Wiwin Hendriningsih, Faculty Psychology, Universitas Airlangaa, Surabaya.
Prof. Dr. Shukran Abdurrahman, Occupational Psychology and Prof. Mastura Badzis, Educational Psychology, IIUM, presented a paper titled “The Need for Integration of Knowledge in the Post Industrial Era from the Industrial Resilience and Educational Resilience” during the plenary session. In addition to the plenary session parallel sessions were conducted in which different universities presented their research papers.
The event ended with a dynamic Q&A session.
