Summer Institute for Scholars

The International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) convenes the Summer Institute for Scholars annually at its office in Herndon. The purpose of the Summer Institute is to engage scholars in presentations and discussions that would lead to generating new knowledge in contemporary Islamic thought.

The Summer Institute for Scholars invites original, previously unpublished submissions – both theoretical and case-studies – covering historical and contemporary settings.

In addition to the established methods of research in religion, legal studies, humanities, education, and social sciences, the Summer Institute welcomes contributions from scholars who integrate normative frameworks with contemporary humanities and social sciences.
