Director of Dialogue Institute at Temple University Visits IIIT

Dr. Racelle Weinmean, Executive Director of the Institute for Interreligious Intercultural Dialogue (IIID) at Temple University, visited IIIT on Thursday February 14, 2008, together with Dr. Sulayman Nyang of Howard University. Dr. Weinmean and Dr. Nyang were part of a U.S. State Department delegation that had visited Indonesia recently. This delegation also included Dr. Abubaker Al-Shingieti, Regional Director of IIIT.
 
Dr. Weinmean and Dr. Nyang shared their reflections on the visit and offered perspectives on the several meetings the delegation had with academic, religious and government leaders and institution. The Institute for Interreligious Intercultural Dialogue offered to work with IIIT on creating better understanding between peoples of different faiths and culture.
