Professor Heidi Hadsell, President of the Hartford Seminary, delivered Al Faruqi Memorial Lecture at the IIIT annual Friends of IIIT Iftar/Dinner held at IIIT on July 25, 2012. The focus of the keynote address was on Christian-Muslim Relations and overcoming the gap of understanding between different faith communities. Professor Hadsell praised the special relationship between the Harford Seminary and IIIT and the continued support that the seminary receives from IIIT, particularly in the area of Imam Training and education, and the study of Christian-Muslim relations in general.

The Iftar/Dinner attracted more than eighty scholars and religious leaders, both Muslim and non-Muslims, who came together to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan with the leadership and staff of IIIT.
