I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Jamal Barzinji for many years. For the last nearly five years, through the activities of the IIIT, we have been fellow workers in the service of Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
Jamal Barzinji is a man of faith, moral virtue, and practical wisdom. He is generous and humble, firm, but sensitive to the feelings of others.
We pray God Almighty to grant Jamal good health and long life to continue his mission of service. May all his works in the way of God be placed in the scales of his righteous deeds.

Dr Jamal Barzinji is a giant when it comes to who are the community leaders over the past decades. I have been privileged to know him as a leader and a visionary par excellence from my first days in America over 30 years ago. He has only grown in respect, leadership, dedication, service and sacrifice since and today he towers as a man of a legacy of unparalleled dedication and service to an up and coming Muslim American community. Thanks to CAIR for this well-deserved recognition of our teacher, Dr Barzinji.

Jamal Barzinji has demonstrated through a life of principled and intelligent action precisely how a human being can quietly but surely bring faith to bear on the many difficult challenges that all individuals, especially Muslims, face on a daily basis. His wisdom and patience, combined with a remarkable good will, are rarely found together in one individual. What a joy it is, then, to know that his many accomplishments over the years are now recognized and celebrated in a formal manner.
