The Dean of Howard University School of Divinity, Dr. Alton Pollard, visited IIIT on Thursday, October 4th accompanied by Dr. Zainab Alwani, Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies at Howard University. The purpose of the visit was to further discuss the idea of an Imam and Muslim Chaplaincy Education and Training program at Howard University.

Dr. Hisham Altalib and Dr. Abubaker Al Shingieti - IIIT, met with President Mohamad Mursi of Egypt in New York on September 24, 2012 in the context of an interfaith meeting. President Mursi welcomed the participation of IIIT in the rerform of higher education in Egypt.
